Registration to IDC 2023 will give you access to the full in-person conference as well as the option to participate in the asynchronous and interactive online program.
The Main Conference registration fee includes:
- Access to the full technical program from June 20th to June 22nd, 2023.
- Access to the broadcast videos, authors’ presentations, discussions, and proceedings.
- Breakfast, lunch, coffee/tea, and snacks for in-person attendees.
- Conference banquet and reception.
Optional Workshops and Courses will take place on June 19th
The optional Learning, Design, and Technology Symposium will take place on June 23rd, 2023.

Financial Assistance
IDC is committed to continually working towards a more inclusive, equitable, and diverse community of researchers and practitioners. IDC provides funding to support emerging scholars (undergraduates, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows) to participate in the Interaction Design and Children conference and develop their careers through interaction with our community. Through generous support of our sponsors we have $500 travel awards for emerging scholars. We will fund as many applicants as possible and will send awards before the early registration deadline.

Gary Marsden Travel Awards
The Gary Marsden Travel Awards support undergraduate and graduate students, early-career researchers (such as those who are ≤ 5 years post-graduation), and those suffering from financial hardship or lacking institutional support, in attending ACM SIGCHI conferences. Please see our call for applications for specific eligibility criteria, details of the award, and review timelines. Deadline: May 9th at 11:59 PM AoE. Award recipients will be announced periodically on the SIGCHI website. Please email sigchi-4all@acm.org with any questions about GMTA or fixes/feedback for the application form.

Carbon Offset
ACM SIGCHI makes it is easy for attendees to offset their carbon footprint to IDC through the registration process. Donations will be passed directly to Cool Effect, an organization that helps individuals and businesses develop practical and cost-effective solutions to slow, stop and reduce the climate crisis. During the registration process, you will see a check box option that will allow you to make a donation to offset your emissions from IDC. This contribution is optional and distinct from the registration fee and will appear as such on your registration receipt. Please consult your organization in advance to determine if the expense is reimbursable. ACM will forward the names of the individuals that contribute along with the amount of their contribution to Cool Effect who will acknowledge the contribution to the individual donor for tax purposes.
Conference attendees may:
- Utilize the carbon offset calculator to make the appropriate donation based on travel
- Make a donation of any amount
- Make a suggested donation of $30
